The official merchandise of the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship is now on sale in the host city of Ufa.

Products are sold in larger sport retail outlets and shopping malls in Ufa and at the official fan shops of the KHL’s Salavat Yulayev Ufa at the Ufa Arena and the Sports Palace, the two venues of the upcoming World Juniors.

Hockey fans and guests can purchase t-shirts, hoodies, baseball caps and other memorable souvenirs with the design of the tournament and the mascot, Teamka.

Andrei Vasilevski, who plays for the city’s junior team Tolpar Ufa and is one of the candidates of the Russian U20 national team, was the first team member to try out the fan ware.

“I like the official merchandise a lot,” the goalkeeper said. “Seizing the occasion, I would like to invite all hockey fans to the games of the upcoming championship. I’m sure it’s going to be fascinating since it’s the first time in history all rising hockey stars are coming to Ufa.”

The 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship will take place 26 December to 5 January.

Tickets can be purchased online and at the arenas’ ticket offices.
